TEDILE LEGAL
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 19 September 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Tedile collects, uses, shares, stores and protects personal data when customers, service providers and authorized staff use the Tedile website, mobile application and related services.
2. Personal data we may collect
- Account data: name, mobile number, email address where applicable, role and authentication information.
- Profile data: profile details, service categories, experience, rates, availability and other information users choose or are required to provide.
- Location data: customer service location, saved address details, approximate or precise coordinates when location features are used, and provider registered or live service location where applicable.
- Booking data: booking reference, requested service, status, schedule, service address, quotes, agreed amounts, messages or notes associated with a booking, ratings and reviews.
- Provider verification data: documents required for onboarding or approval, which may include service agreements, Aadhaar copies and signed NDAs.
- Device and technical data: IP address, browser or app information, request logs, security events, error information and identifiers needed to operate and protect the service.
- Support and communications: information supplied when contacting Tedile or responding to verification, support or account-related communications.
3. Why we use personal data
- To create, verify and secure user accounts.
- To find suitable nearby providers and support service bookings.
- To display booking status, directions and service-location information to the parties involved in a booking.
- To support provider onboarding, approval, fraud prevention and safety checks.
- To send verification codes and service-related communications.
- To operate, troubleshoot, secure and improve Tedile.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. Location information
Tedile uses location information to support nearby-provider search, service delivery and directions. Location access from a device is requested through the device or browser permission flow where required. You can deny device location permission, although some location-dependent features may not work correctly. Tedile should not expose a provider's exact private coordinates in public search results.
5. How personal data is shared
We share personal data only where needed for the service or where legally permitted. For example, a customer and an assigned provider may receive the contact, booking and service-location information necessary to complete a booking. Authorized Tedile staff may access information for support, onboarding, safety and administration. Technical service providers may process data on Tedile's behalf for hosting, messaging, mapping, security or similar operational functions.
6. Provider documents and sensitive information
Provider identity or onboarding documents are intended for authorized administrative review and must not be made public. Providers must not copy, retain, disclose or use customer personal data except as necessary for a legitimate Tedile booking or as required by law.
7. Retention
Tedile retains personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including account operation, booking history, safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance and dispute handling. Retention periods may differ by data category and legal requirement.
8. Security
Tedile uses administrative and technical safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or loss. No system can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their verification codes, devices and account access and promptly report suspected misuse.
9. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request information about your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion or erasure where applicable, withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent, and grievance redressal. Some data may need to be retained where required by law or necessary for legitimate legal claims, fraud prevention or transaction records.
You can start an account-deletion request at Tedile account deletion.
10. Consent and permissions
Where Tedile relies on consent, the request should identify the relevant data and purpose. Device permissions such as location can be changed through your browser or operating-system settings. Withdrawal of a permission or consent may limit features that depend on that information.
11. Children
Tedile is not intended for children to independently create service-provider accounts or enter into service transactions. Where applicable law requires parental or guardian consent for a child's personal data, Tedile may restrict or require additional verification before processing that data.
12. Third-party services
Tedile may rely on third-party infrastructure or services such as hosting, OTP delivery and mapping. Those providers may process limited information necessary to provide their service and may have their own legal obligations and privacy terms.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when Tedile's features, data practices or legal requirements change. The current version will be published here with an updated effective date, and material changes may also be communicated through the app or website.
14. Contact and grievances
For privacy questions, rights requests or grievances, use the official contact details published by Tedile in the app or website.
